We are under another weather advisory. There is so much snow out and we are going to get more tonight into tomorrow. Are you kidding me! At least tomorrow is our really slow day so if the weather is bad all we are missing is a trip to the library.
I have so much to do and am procrastinating by sitting at this computer as usual. Dishes, laundry, change sheets, etc. I am going to spend Aidan's school time cleaning up this office a bit. It is a shambles. We I had better get to it. The kids are watching a movie and I always feel so guilty walking away from them when they are watching something. I hate feeling like the TV is a babysitter, but sometimes I don't know what I would do without it. Even if it is only for 30 minutes or so. Guilt! Back to work.

Holy Snow!
The weather was supposed to be so bad last night the woman in charge of the church nursery called last night to let us know that church services were to be cancelled this morning. B was to attend a retirement luncheon this afternoon for plant emplyees that was cancelled on Friday. We previously had 4-6 inches of unmelted snow, we got about 1 inche yesterday and we are way over that after getting up this morning. Not sure what the official totals are to be yet. I am so ready for spring. Not necessarily hot weather, but I am ready for all this snow to melt. It was starting to before this storm hit.

Now I am stressed!
I shouldn't be stressed but now I totally am. Brian was asked to inerview for a plant managers job which should be awesome and exciting. Guess where this job is...Indiana which would mean moving again. I am so not please about this and am trying not to feel like this is God praying some cruel joke. If this offer were to come 2-3 years down the road I would be telling Brian to jump at the chance to interview. Now I wonder if he interviews gets the job what then. I don't think he wants this right now, but if he doesn't take this offer would another come up someday. I like to think that it would, but you never know. Stress. I am trying to pray to turn this over to God but I just keep thinking about it. That tells me that it is not the correct thing for us right now. I am hoping that if he really does interview, he does not get the position. We have been here less than and year and would not look forward to the upheaval again. Aidan will be in a new school next fall anyway, but I was hoping that it would at least be here.

Another picture I just had to add because I love this one so much. It looks like they are praying together. Priceless!
It has been another interesting week. I am meeting with the church children's pastor tomorrow in order to start serving in the nursery. I am pretty nervous believe it or not, I am just not sure what he is going to ask. I would not believe that they would actually turn away a potential volunteer as long as they make it through the background checks and such. My first interview in years!

Pictures finally

I fianally sat down to work on some pictures from last week. Short post tonight and I will try to fill in what is going on this week tomorrow. I loved this picture of the kiddos faces. They look like such little imps planning their next move. Silly kids. This was from Ainsley's birthday party last week. More later as I am tired. I am off!

First small group
We went to our first small group bible study last night. It went prety well. We are the only ones with small kids so that will be pretty strange having to take them along all the time. I think the hosts were very gracious and their 13 year old daught watched the kids for the evening. I need to pay her some money next time. I was going to do that and I just forgot in the chaos of getting everyone bundled to go. She said she loves to babysit so maybe I will see if she could babysit for us once in a while. They live close by so if she had a problem her parents would be nearby as well. I will have to get to know this family and see. We could be making some good connections at our church finally.

Sad day...
Valentine's Day was a little sad for me yesterday. I was talking to my mom on the phone while we were celelbrating Ainsley's birthday and she said my aunt sold her house. They aren't planning on leaving until September due to when she can retire, but we are sad anyway because they are one step closer to moving away. I am not so sad that they are moving, but I am most sad because my mom is sad. I so want my mom and dad to move here sometimes to be with us. They still have M in town so she would probably kill me if I tried to take them away from her. I just wish there was a way that we could all be together. We lived in town with B's family for so many years and I am still more attached to my parent's than I will ever be to them hard as I try. I guess it will always be that way and that is as it should be. I just wish mom and dad would come here or follow Minita to PR. I really think that is where mom would like to be.

The saga of shopping
So today was the first time I have adventured to the grocery store with both kids since my surgery. It is so much easier when I can go alone, but I feel bad leaving B to do all the work in the evening with the kiddos. I was armed with snacks and lollipops if the kids did well. My main problem is that both kids want to ride in the basket. Ainsley because she wants to do what big brother does and Aidan because he wants to still be a little kid and ride in the seat. While they have a good time and behave fairly well, I can't manage it when I do a large grocery. When it is small both can fit in the cart as well as my bags otherwise they are going to be buried under stuff. What to do....I guess I can keep shopping in the evening alone until I get Aidan in to Kindergarten this fall in the mornings and that way Ainsley and I can go to the store and she can ride in the basket all she wants. Aidan will just have to live without going to the grocery store on a regular basis. I am sure he won't mind.
Otherwise it was a rather uneventfull weekend. I took the kids shopping on Friday to get Ainsley some clothing for her birthday. I was so tired when we got home! They behaved well too. No tantrums for Aidan which made me really proud. Maybe asking for prayer from others was just what I needed to do. He is getting better so lets hope this continues. I have a busy week coming. Dr appoinment for Ainsley, GE repair, bible study and I need to take Ainsley somewhere to get her 2 year old pictures made. I will let you kow how much I actually get done. Now to get to work! Dishes and clutter await.

Headed to the Laundromat
The GE repairman had to order a new gasket for my machine so Thursday night I spent the evening at the laundry getting tons of loads done so that we could make it through the week until he was able to get the part and get back. Big Pain!
Yesterday we received some packages...Ainsley's b-day presents from my parents and the much anticipated PS2. B already went out and bought a college football game and Guitar hero2. Both my boys have had a blast. Ainsley found a swimsuit with a little skirt that my mom sent which she proceeded to put on over her clothes. I need to put it back on her a get a picture. It was too funny. Just a small party for her next week. She already has tons of presents. The family is really generous with them.
B is out bowling for charity and the kids are resting. SO I am off myslef to get a nap and maybe a snack. More later.

Waiting!
Just waiting on the GE repairman to come fix my washer. Stuck here all day...8am-5pm. He had better fix my machine. It is so not right for them to hold you hostage all day. At least designate morning or afternoon or something. Not just anytime all day long.
Tired today. Ainsley was up last night completely feverish. Here I was thinking I would have to cancel the repair appointment, but she is perfectly fine this morning. Don't know what is going on with her. She has her well check next week so I guess I will check with the pediatrician then. I see them monthly with Ainsley so the know us wll over there. Probably sick of seeing us actually.
B watched the kids last night so I could do some catch up cleaning. I was in a cleaning frenzy yesterday. I hit the bathroom, cleaned the playroom and cat area during the day. Then when B came home I hit the kitchen. Got everything that was not supposed to be on the counters put away and into their correct areas. I also cleaned all the cabinet fronts and fronts of all the appliances. Looks much better now. I still need to hit to office, but I think that it is better to put it off for another day.

Oh Lord it is cold!
Schools are cancelled today because of the wind chill. My son is very upset about this. This level of cold is ridiculous. I am freezing. The heat seems to be running all the time. Can't wait to get our next bill!
With both kiddos home all day, I am still going to try to get some house work done. I have some bills to pay, appointments to change, laundry to do, etc. Hope I can even get a fraction of this mess taken care of. I am sooooo tired still. Haven't been sleeping too well again, so I guess that means I am getting better after the January surgery. The nurse said I would poop out pretty quickly for about a month and so far she is right.

Tantrums
More Aidan tantrums today. This behavior is just escalating. He only had 2 fits today. I don't know why he thinks that screaming and throwing a fit will get him what he wants. Ainsley is not quite that bad. She has her moments, but right now I just am afraid to take Aidan anywhere because at any moment when I tell him "no" I think he is going to blow. I hope this gets better soon. Any suggestions? I am already taking away video games/computer and tv. Not sure what else to do besides spanking and I hate spanking because I really don't feel that it works either. Just don't know what to do with him right now...anything to stop the tantrums.

Harry Potter
I just pre-ordered the new Harry Potter! Hopefully I will be through most of my other pile of reading before it arrives. I am so excited.
Took the kids to the library today and mostly tried to avoid the large crowd of kids since mine are still both coughing and runny. I can't wait until these two get better because I am already coming down with the sniffles and scratchy throat myself. I am so tired of sickness.
Miss J did not make it to the library today. I hope we did not give her kids the sniffles at bible study on Tuesday. I will have to check in with her to see how things are going in a day or two.
