Hebrews 11:1

Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.

Colossians 4:6

Today show

I was watching the Today show this morning and they aired a video of a little boy who was surprised at school by his father. The key to the story is that the little boys father is a soldier in Iraq and he has not seen him in 7 months. The little boys face said it all and I am in tears every time I see it. What a picture of the love a child has for his father. Very moving and emotional.

Did you realize...

that we moved to such a small town that we are the only family with our last name listed in the phone book? I never believed B when he would say this, but I actually checked just to see and it is true.

We are on the mend. I have sent Aidan back to school. Ainsley is sick, but well enough to be out and about again. Runny noses abound. Ainsley actually had a bloody nose today. It completely freaked me out. Then when we went to the library she tripped over her own feet and konked her head on a bench. She has a huge goose egg running down the middle of her forehead. Aidan was upset with me when I told him we needed to leave the library. Got Ainsley and ice pack when we got home, not that I think it did much good at that point. Oh well, at least her two year pictures were taken already.

Bible study tonight. B is not going as he has a retirement dinner. I feel obligated to go in that we missed last week and I believe this is the last week of the book discussion. I am not sure if the plan will be to continue meeting. I am a little upset with B about this, but it is not his fault.

B also did not get the job in Indiana. Praise God for that! Maybe in a few years we will be ready to relocate again.

Sick sick sick

Why are we always so sick around here? Aidan is sick since Monday, Mine started yesterday and B has been sick since last week. Ainsley has been free from illness so far, but that won't last long I am sure.

Nothing new on the job front yet. More another time.

Interview

B's interview went well. Poor thing was so exhausted when he got home. Imagine pretty much an entire day of driving. He had a really bad day back to work on Thursday too. I really don't want him to be offered this job. Do they realize that we just moved here. Do they realize how much we have been uprooted already. Do they realize how much this will affect his family. We are just starting to put down some roots and making connections with people here. I was just starting to feel like this was home. I am sure B's boss thinks that he will get this job. They told him he was a serious candidate and I guess that B told them that he would be interested. I am not interested! Lord please, I don't want to move again so soon. If it is offered I don't think B would say no, so please don't let the job be offered.

Emotional Day

I have been a wreck today since bible study this morning. Some of the discussion made me so emotional and sad, plus the stress of our whole interview situation and the feeling of limbo again. I wanted to share with my group, but what do you say. I think our discussion today was amazing and I hope we have the opportunity to revisit the subject of mentoring and fellowship. I am just starting to get attached to these ladies and I don't want to leave them just now. I don't want to move and I think that Brian understands that because I don't think he does either, but I am afraid that he feels like he will be put between a rock and a hard place here. Oh what to do what to do.

The longest week

Wow, this has been the longest week! I am still waiting for this stupid interview to happen. I should not be stressing, but I am.

I finally made it to the quilt shop this weekend! I got some new rulers and I actually did some blocks this weekend. Hopefully I will get another bunch done this week. Today looks promising for that endeavor. I am hoping sewing will help me destress a bit. It is when my mind is still in the quiet of the morning and at bed time that I have trouble. However, I am not so stressed that I can't sleep. A good thing.

B's interview

B had his phone interview last week when they pretty much told him they were interviewing him for the position as a technicality. They want to hire someone from the outside, but they were told to interview some people from within the company. So, B is pegged as a hight performer and they wanted to meet him. We thought the situation was over and done with. Now they called him yesterday and want to fly him down for an interview. Why would they fly him down for an interview if they are not really interested in him? It doesn't seem that this company just throws money out the window like our previous company used to. I was feeling good again but now I am completely stressed again. I have never prayed the my husband not get a promotion, but I am just not ready to move again so soon. I was just feeling like I was getting settled. B has now worked for the company for a year, but we have not even lived in this house for a year yet. I don't even want to think about the housing market! I love this house and am not ready to leave yet. This just stinks! The interview is next week, Wednesday. While Indiana seems like it would be a nice place to live to move again would be such a pain in the bum.

Chris would be proud

My friend Chris would be so proud. Over the last few days I have been actually doing some of my quilt work again. I was inspired by a sign that I saw for a quilt show in town, plus talking about my sewing table with my friend Miss J. I also have a gift certificate to the local quilt shop that is going to expire in May. I need to finish my BOM from last year and use the gift certificate to get fabric to complete it. Who knows how long the inspiration will last but I will take what I can get for now. I will post a picture when I have something finished.

Pretty nice weekend

We had a pretty nice weekend. It stopped snowing, the sun came out, and we had some friends over. I am so glad B seems to like this couple. I really like Miss J and her kiddos and the hubbys seem to get along well so hopefully we will be able to have other evenings with good food, friends, toys everywhere and generally fun. The kiddos were so tired but I think they had a really good time.

It is still cold, but the warm up is supposed to come later in the week. Who knew I would ever be looking forward to days in the lower to mid 40s as a warm day.

Snow and Rain?

Rain, what is that? I have not seen that in months, but this afternoon I hear a strange noise look outside and there it is rain from the sky. The problem with this rain on top of snow is that when the temperatures dip below 32 tonight then everything will be frozen. Slick streets for all.

Due to weather we stayed in all today. They cancelled our small group for tonight too. Aidan missed his trip to the library. Hopefully it will be descent in the morning so that I can head to the store and pick up a few things.

So tired today, instead of doing any cleaning I napped. I needed it, but I have a ton to do as usual. Oh well, that is just how it is. Both kiddos woke up early. I think Aidan woke Ainsley up actually, but I think Ainsley is getting sick as well. I am hoping that this is all teething. Last time she had really bad diapers like this it was her teeth. Otherwise, I think I am going to need to run her to the doctor again. I am going to have to check her mouth more closely when I brush her teeth tonight. Boring bloggin lately I know, but what can you do when you are trapped inside but icky wet snow.

I finally got my new coat today to. Love it so far, I will let you know how it holds up. Oh no, more sleet...
