I can't believe...

 that this boy...
is 9 years old today!  His request a home made chocolate chocolate cake.  To school we sent some spring decorated cut out sugar cookies to be shared with the class.  Apparently the class was very excited about them.  All the kids wanted to help Aidan pass them out.

Oh how I love this boy.  How I suffered for him.  I hate saying that, but it is true.  I don't ever tell this story fully because it is long and I still do not understand all that happened medically to me.  I doubt I will ever know.  Needless to say I left the hospital with this boy as an infant after 2 units of a blood transfusion still quite low in that department and a bottle full of iron tablets.  He was perfectly fine...Mommy not so much.  All turned out well though.  This kid is almost as tall as his Mom if you would believe it.  Not that it is that hard to do.  Well, thankful for a short week of school this week.  The kids have Good Friday off and spring break following.  Yay!

Finishing unfinished projects

Bit by bit.  Slowly, slowly, slowly.  Making some progress.  I finished the last bib and am waiting for a baby to send it too.  Recently got a birth announcement from a cousin whom I should send it to, however, I am not sure I want to start to commit to a trend.  I have tons of cousins and could be cross-stitching forever!
This one is  a Christmas door bow.  I put this one away to work on my nephew's blanket.  I pulled it out again recently too.  I also set up my sewing machine again a few weekends ago.  Not quite ready to work on anything yet, but I have 2 quilts ready for finishing.  Need to get off my booty and get to work.

Brian attended our Homeowner's Association Annual meeting yesterday while I took Aidan to soccer practice.  Needless to say, the toot signed me up to help with the newsletter and to help organize the block party.  I would probably signed up for the block party gig myself, but the turkey feels the need to force me to meet people.  I usually do well in my own time.  Not sure how I feel about this right now.  Turns out the person the group elected to be president is also Ainsley's school principal and lives diagonally across from us.  Also, the partly constructed home next door just displayed a sold sign.  We could be getting some new neighbors soon.  Aidan is hoping for some boys as we have many girls in the hood.  Don't see as many boys around.

Once again if I don't get the chance to post tomorrow.  Have a good one.  Sniffle free.  I am once again congested!  Pray for me as I am starting to go a little bananas with all these colds!

Problem areas and scoring a bargain...

Do you see this mess.  Why can I not keep my kitchen counter clutter free?  Papers, colored pencils, stain stick and various other items.  When I clear off the counter, it lasts about 10 minutes and the piles start again.
It is also migrating to another part of the counter.  I even bought these magazine racks to tame the school papers that need to be kept for a while.  One glove too.  I just can't find the other.  Yesterday I had to take the kids shopping after school for shoes.  It had been a while since I bought them shoes so I thought it best that I take them with me to try things on.  Aidan had nearly worn a hole in the bottom of his sneakers.  Needless to say at the shoe store I was checking out the clearance rack and look what I found.
These are going to be so fun for the spring that I hope is coming.  For $10 I am not going to pass these up.  How fun are they!

I have been having trouble with blogger lately so I haven't been able to post.  I have started several and for whatever reason this has been acting wonky when I am ready to use it.  Hope it works better now and I had better got off this to work on the counter.  Later taters!
