I have been really busy and actually have not had much to write about. My cat is driving me nuts...now that we have her hairball issue under control she keeps waking me up at night with her incessant screaming. I am about to lock her in the playroom at night with her cat box and be done with her just so that I can get a decent nights sleep.
Last week was a challenge in that I was shuttling kids everywhere trying to keep them busy while B was in Cleveland and Mexico. His interview in Cleveland seems to have gone well and so far the rumor is that he will get the manager's job here. Yay! So far though nothing official has come down from up top though, so we aren't celebrating yet. It looks like we will be able so stay around the lakeshore for a few more years. Our other option was a tiny town in Minnesota so I was not to keen on that. I don't think I would want to get much smaller than where we are.
Our block party is this weekend so that should be fun. We are bringing Mexican style dip, chips and salsa. B's peppers have grown nicely and while they aren't super spicy they sure taste good. My first cherry tomatoes are turning red too and those were pretty tasty as well!
It is pretty hot out again today so the kids and I got wet in the pool this morning and I am going to head back upstairs to the comfort of the AC. Stay cool everyone!

Kindergarten
I received a letter today from the kidergarten Aidan will be going to in the fall. Mostly informational, a parent orientation coming up. I have been sad ever since. Why is this bugging me so much...I just want to keep him home, but he has so much fun in school. Imagine running errands again with only one kid in tow. I should be happy.

My Latest Creation...
Sorry no posts in a while...
I have had a lot going on and some things on my mind so I am really just managing to keep my head above water these days and still trying to think of fun things for the kiddos to do this summer.
Aidan started swimming lessons again last night and hopefully it will go well. The big pain is that B is headed to Cleveland for and interview and then to Mexico for the week so I will have to take him which is only a pain because I have Ainsley to deal with and when she sees that Aidan is going to swim she is going to want to as well. I may see if I can get her in the nursery there while he takes his class that way I can get him ready without worrying about her.
He also has Happy Bats on Thursday. Also will be an issue with Ainsley since it is in the middle of the day but at least that is at the elementary school so she will probably want to run around on the playground. I just won't be able to be much of a parental helper. I am going to put Ainsley in gymnastics for the fall when Aidan is in school. It will be something nice for me to do with her while he is away.
Tonight our small group leader is coming over to talk about baptism. We shall see. B told him of my fear of public speaking so he said something to the effect that I would not have to do my testimony in front of the church congregation if I did not want too. That makes me feel a little better. But I would feel even better if I did not have to do any speaking at all! Don't think that I am going to get away with that one but we will see what he has to say. He came by last night to bring over some fish fillets from this huge trout that he caught. Guess what we are having for dinner tonight!

Stressing
So this is what I am stressing about...I signed up last November after feeling pressure from my hubby, to be baptized. The actual being dunked in the lake in front of people is not what has me stressed. It is the 2 minute testimony that I have to give. I AM NOT A PUBLIC SPEAKER! I can not stand it! I am not sure how I am going to get through that part. I don't even have a really interesting story. This is what I wrote in my membership application...
I became a believer in the third grade, 9 years old, mostly due to Sunday School teachers leading as we were not a religious family. My Mom would drop us of at Sunday School and pick us up when it was over in a effort to make sure we had some religious education. We moved and switched churches. I never felt quite at home at this new church and eventually toward the end of high school I stopped going. At that point I was working most Sundays and headed to college. During this time, I never felt any anger toward God or lack of belief. I always believed in him but I was not following him. After a stressful few years, in 2001 some friends invited us to church and I immediately felt that that was where I needed to be. Since then I have been working on becoming a "fully developing follower of Christ," as was said at our church at the time. In 2006 we moved to .... and started attending .... I really feel that the Lord's hand was completely over the whole process of our move from start to finish.
I think I can use part of this but I need to find some way to end it. Not sure not sure as I am not a writer either.
So this is what I am stressing over. I need to not stress because this is something that should not be stressfull. I don't think I can back out either...

I have been the bad blogger of late. We have had a busy weekend after a week with visiting friends. Friday we headed out to run errands and do grocery shopping. Saturday morning was yard work while I was sick to my tummy. Then I took the kiddos to a friends birthday party at a local park. Sunday was church and it was stinking hot out so I filled up the pool so the kids could splash around. Then after naps we spent the rest of the afternoon upstairs staying cool in the AC. I am actually glad that our friends left so they would not have to deal with the heat!
Brian went to Cleveland again for work, but he should be back Tuesday night. Tuesday afternoon we are headed to the park and zoo with some friends. Not much else to report right now. I am stressing about something but I will report more on that later when I can better collect my thoughts. Stay cool peeps!

Sad today...
Our friends headed back to Michigan today on their way back to Tennessee. I was so sad to see them go. We had fun getting the chance to hang out again as it has been a while since we have seen them. Otherwise the kids are pretty grumpy, we kept Aidan up late last night as a treat to see the 4th fireworks. He was completely wired last night and is grumpy this morning. I was hoping that he would sleep late, but no he only slept until 7:45. That is what I get for keeping him up. Oh well!
I will try to post some pictures soon but I am just too tired today. Allergies are driving me nuts. I wonder if some of it was the smoke from the firepit and fireworks last night on top of all the cedar and other junk in the air. I tried to work on a bit of my summer bible study too while Ainsley watched a movie. Not getting very far with that. I have too much freedom and am too undisciplined in the summer. Lazy, lazy, lazy.
Had a great time this weekend though! Maybe we can hit Cold Stone this weekend for more lemon sorbet...that really hit the spot and it is supposed to be really hot for around here. We shall see. I am off to put some grumpies to bed. More later gater tater!
