Ouchy Places...
After bible study this morning, my group leader came up to me to make sure I was okay mostly because I have been more quiet than usual. We talked for a while and I told her that the book we are going through was bringing up some stuff that I was just trying to chew on and work through. We talked for a while. Wow, what a relief that I actually talked to someone about this. I need a little more time before I post any of it here, but I promise that I will eventually. I am just dealing with an ouchy place right now, only God can help me fix it and I am trying hard to make sure that I leave it in His hands daily. The book is called The Heart of the Problem. Not sure of the authors off hand...I believe the last names are Skinner and Brandt. I highly recommend it, but I will say it has been a humbling experience so far.

Aidan's ears...
Well, Aidan has been coughing and hacking for a while. He would get better then worse again. Now he is on a worse again kick so I took him into urgent care to see the nurse since his ped is away until next week. He apparently has an ear infection. It makes me wonder how long he has been feeling bad without saying anything. The nurse says it is not uncommon for kids not to notice the ear pain or they might just not feel any pain at all. Needless to say I am picking up an antibiotic this afternoon. I hope he gets better pretty quick. I feel so horrible now that I let this go this long and it turns out his ear is infected. Argh I can't catch a break sometimes. Oh well, hope you all have a great weekend.

Quick Post...
as I haven't much time. My house is a wreck and I am trying to get it in order before Ainsley wakes up. Aidan is home from school today and tomorrow so I had him clean up the play room and now he is playing quietly in his room. Pray for Aidan please. He has always behaved at school. Suddenly, I have 2 days in a row of him mis-behaving in one form or another. We have taken away TV and computer priviledges until we get a full week of good reports from the teacher. I am also sending a note to the teacher to see if something different happened in class. Maybe sitting around different kids, bored with the material, etc. I am concerned.
Ainsley is in her big girl bed now as Aidan had taught her to climb in. I was concerned that climbing out was next. Also I am including a picture of the freshly painted porch. B even added some sand to the paint when covering the steps so that it would be a little grippy especially helpful for the winter which is fast approaching. More another day as I have to dash!

Pumpkin patch weekend...
Not much to post about but I did want to put up some pictures of the kiddos and Daddy from our trip to the pumpkin patch. Silly Mommy forgot to check the charge on tha battery to the camera so I was only able to get a few shots in. They actually had a corn maze this year. It was small for the younger set, but Aidan loved it. He went through it at least half a dozen times. I think this was the last day on nice weather we had as it has been raining ever since and I think I am coming down with Aidan's cold. Time to break out the hot tea again as that has cleared up the sore throat quick in the past. Well, hopefully I will have something more interesting to post about next time, but pictures of my cuties will have to do for now.

Have you ever felt...
as if you have so much on your mind that you find it difficult to focus on one task? That is how I have been feeling lately and I am not sure why really. I have been tired and trying to catch up on sleep a bit this week, but I still am finding it difficult to focus. I have even tried posting several times and then getting sidetracked and not finishing becaue I have changed my mind about what I want to say. I am still feeling spread thin, but I am felling less stressed about it. I have just decided to accept, move on and just do my best getting the things I want to do done. Oh well, not much else to say. Prayer requests for the friend of a friend going through the final stages of an adoption after a previous adoption fell through at the last minute. I can only imagine what that feels like.

Cold and wet today...
and it looks like it will be the same tomorrow. I hope it clears up this weekend because I had really wanted to take the kids to the pumpkin patch. We will see if it works out. Aidan had half a day of school today so we decided to call daddy and he came out to lunch with us. Aidan had wanted to go to McD's so since he was actually home I thought I would indulge. B is in for a busy week next week entertaining out of town guests for a plant managers meeting so we won't get to see him much. Pray for me that I don't get too frazzled!

My poor Aidan

So excited...
my sister is coming this weekend. I have a ton of cleaning up to do, but I just can't wait. B is going to pick Aidan up from school on Friday so that Ainsley and I can head down to the airport without having to pull kiddo out of school early. The only thing is that this afternoon I feel as if I am coming down with a sore throat again. I hope this only lasts three days like the last one. Otherwise I will be sick while she is here. Got to get better fast! Lots of hot tea and rest.
