My poor Aidan

Can you see the swollen lips and the bruised eye? What you can't see is the bruised gum and loose tooth! He and another child collided yesterday at flag football. He was not being tackled it was just two kids who turned and ran smack into each other. Called the dentist today to see what to do. They are not going to save a baby tooth and I know this. They said that we should take a wait and see approach because sometimes the ligaments will tighten back up as the gums heal. I am to call them back on Monday. Poor Mommy, I was broken hearted yesterday and could not sleep. He wanted to go to school so I loaded him up on Motrin and took him. I also did talk to his teacher about his wounds just so that she would not freak out. He did go back into the game when the bleeding lip subsided, before I realized we had a gum and tooth problem, and scored a touchdown. We were so proud!
